- i have recently develop a electronic project which it need
to use Com Port 1 and 2 to communicate, so i uses MSCOMM
control to creaate the connection to these 2 port.
- but the problem is now the sending of the Com port 1 is in
Byte format and the Com port 2 doesn't seem to
recognize this data although i've confirm that i change the
data format to Byte before send to com port 2
- and also, after Com port 2 have received the data, it will
return back the data back to Com port 1 again. Here, also
a problem, because i've code the electronic chip to received
omly "01" in hexa format, but the Com port doesn't seem to
received correctly, why is this happen?
- please do some one help me...

Do you have a MODEM on this computer? What port is it on?
It sounds like you may be sending data to a MODEM port.
Also, check your BIOS setup. See what interrupts and ports your COM1 and COM2 are set to. Make sure no other device is using the same settings.
Post again if this does not help.
