root login

I want to use ssh to login as root or at least with root access.

I can't use "su" because the request is not coming from a tty input.

How do I enable remote login as root on Linux 2.2?
or
su as a non-tty device (I will also need to pipe the password somehow)?

    From the initial login, use root. su is a unix command to re-initiate getty as login root, requiring only a password from that point (in other words, if you are looking at LOGIN:, type , otherwise you have probably already logged in as your usual self, then you would type in which is not a login, but a UNIX/LINUX command telling the OS that you are a low life user who wants root priveledges.
