I need help in DirectX also

Well, beside Crystalspace, I like to study DirectX also, but it's very new to me, so I need to know step-by-step programming using DirectX
If any of you would like to help me out then I will be very grateful
My question for now is :
1. How can I Install DirectX 8 in my computer ?
2. What should we do first just to make a very simple
application showing that my directX coding works ?
3. How do I compile DirectX ?
I think those three are my questions for now, please help me out ........
thx

    1) Download the DirectX 8 SDK and install DirectX like anyone would, except for that you choose to install the DEBUG version rather than the RUN version (DEBUG version is slower but has better support for developers)
    2) The SDK comes with LOTS of examples
    3) You don't; it is compiled. Just link in the libraries dxguid.lib (always), ddraw.lib (for DirectDraw), dinput.lib (for DIrectInput) and dsound.lib (for DirectSound).
