Please Help!!!!!!!!

When in the Visual Basic Editor within Microsoft Excel. How do i get the toolbox and additional controls to activate (they are greyed out the the menus). I have tried re-installing both excel and VB 6 but neither seemed to work.

I really need to gain access to these tools as i'm trying to meet a deadline

Thanks ever so

Sam

    Sam -

If you are at work, make sure admin haven't locked these toolbars out (even a reinstall from the admin files will import and install the XL template which could have a "hidetoolbars" macro in the "open" event). Assuming you are at home or on a standalone, then you could try View --> Toolbars --> Customise and reset all the toolbars. Don't know why anyone would mess with them (and it might not be this, since a reinstall didn't work, but it depends on what kind of reinstall you did and what options you selected). Failing that, check that there are no auto open macros on the file you are opening. It's a curly one all right ... sorry I can't be of more help.
