Job Title: Sr. Programmer Analyst - Oracle HR applications

Location: Dallas, TX

Founded in 1957, this Dallas-based Corporation has $1.7 billion in assets. The company is the world leader in delivering golf, private club and resort experiences. Internationally, the company owns or operates more than 220 golf courses, country clubs, private business clubs and resorts.

Required Skills & Technical Environment:
Must have a thorough understanding of the entire payroll processes
Must possess strong PL/SQL skills
Must be competent with Oracle Reports 2.5/3.0/6.i
Must be able to write fast formulas
Must have knowledge of the core HRMS tables (Persons, Assignments, Assignment Action, Run Results, etc.)
Must be able to utilize Oracle API’s to make data changes
Must have a thorough understanding of Employee Balances and be able to extract balances at various jurisdiction levels.
Must have a thorough understanding of value sets, key flexfields and descriptive flexfields
Must understand Oracle’s concept of a “Secure User”
Must be familiar with Workflow
Must be familiar with Web Apps (Web Expense, and Web Kiosk)

Desired Skills:
Knowledge of TOAD is a plus
Knowledge of Enterprise Manager is a plus

Scope of Work & Responsibilities:
Consults with user groups to determine business needs and advises optimal software solutions, including analysis of applicable third party software
Gathers and documents complete user requirements.
Completes design, coding, development and unit testing of required software components.
Advises Project Managers of estimated time and costs for task completion
Has extensive business and workflow knowledge in key LOB areas such as finance, HR, retail, food/beverage, etc
Designs and documents system specifications, prepares prototypes, and monitors software efficiency and on-time completion of the development effort
Is able to interact with 3rd party software partners and develop seamless interfaces between third party and proprietary software applications
Provides technical expertise to other members of the development team on current Company software technologies
Provides technical expertise for the Quality Assurance, Database Administration, Documentation, Training , Support Center and Implementation staff.
Responsible for integrity of the finished software product and user sign-off for the effectiveness of the business solution.
Maintains expert knowledge of assigned business practices by managing/owning the business process flow chart

Educational Requirements:
Bachelors Degree in a Technical Discipline is preferred or 5 or more years of experience without a degree.

Work Environment:
Business casual work environment - most people have been with the company for several years - people tend to be long term employees.
