to get IP address & pc machine name
i want to write a perl script so when someone visits my web page, an alert message will pop up and shows the visitor's IP address and his PC machine's name. My website's server is linux OS. I figure I will have to use some systemcalls such as nslookup, etc. Is this idea correct? And how should i let my perl script work in a HTML page? I am a novice of perl so any ideas will be appreciated...
