    There is actually a method of doing this, however, only some VXDs actually have 16-bit extentions. You can detect the entry points for these using the DOSVXD program (which is just a front end), available at my website.

    All the VXD entry points are actually the same address, but the varying Seg:Ofs notation tells Windows which VXD you want. However, that's the simple part, as you still have to find what registers should be loaded with what for each call. That's the hard documentation to find.
