Visual C++, Borland C++ Builder, or something else ?

  • I am currently using Borland C++ Builder 1.0 (I know it's old) but I might be getting Visual C++ soon.

  • hmmm, it can be done with IE-activeX controll, but that wouldn't be much different from just IE.

by simple, do you mean just text-based browser ?
In that case all you need is a HTTP component (something that requests a page from the server and then stores it on the computer) and you need to write (a lot of) code to parse all the html
