Oracle has done away with the HTML Converter in jdk7and 8. The JMF does not seem to install properly either. I hope someone can convince Oracle that the HTML Converter is really convenient and use it again too that Applets I think have a great future especially networked together. Seems like they are going with gadgets and gizmos with FX instead of powerful Swing Applets. I wish they would keep up with the JMF too as well as 3D and package them all in the main jdk. I think it's a mistake to slack up on Applets and JMF. Let's keep our eyes on Oracle and write them to keep up with the HTML Converter , JMF Media and JApplets.
