New Embedded WiFi Project

I have been instructed to looking into a potential solution for creating a WiFi product that has no keyboard (a readout instrument).

I am looking into using a Microchip product (MRF24WB0MA) because

1) The product has 'Built-in EZConfig application to facilitate network provisioning without a keyboard or display'.

2) I can use the free TCP/IP stack from Microchip. (Also Microchip provides Microchip TCPStack v5.25 project "TCPIP WiFi EasyConfig Demo App". )

Does anyone have any better ideas? (Other free stacks or other free processors?).
