Installation Problems

I'm trying to install Matlab 2009, but I get the following error:

Error extracting archive for MATLAB_Distributed_Computing_Server42. Not enough space to continue installing.

On the previous screen, it shows my available space as 0. I have over 100 gigs free. Could this have anything to do with the drive being NTFS? I even tried making a new FAT32 partition and installing it there, but the same thing happened.
