Programming Canmore 730F(L) GPS Logger

I recently purchased a Canmore 730F(L) GPS receiver and data logger to use in developing some geocaching related programs. I am able to read the GPS NMEA commands over the serial port with no problems. I also want to be able to programatically dowload logged data from the device, but, unfortunately I can find no instructions on how to accomplish this. The Canmore site (canmore.com.tw) offers no information and emails to them requesting info have brought no responses to date. Is there any standard way to send commands/receive log data from GPS logger devices? Canmore provides a Photo Tagger program that will download the data so I know it can be done ... just don't know what I need to do. The device utilizes a Prolific USB-to-Serial adapter for communications. Any help would be GREATLY appreciated.
