I want to create a virtual drive that would contain files which are not technically on the hard drive. They would be created by a service on an as needed basis from a database. I've searched for some Windows virtual drive software code like Daemon tools, but I've yet to find any open source one and Koders doesn't help much either.
The programming language should not be an issue, but I have no idea what API calls you make to register a virtual drive that is not an existing directory and redirect file read calls to my service.
Any insight is appreaciated, thanks!
