Bypassing an Active Portal

Hey all!

My landlord is trying to force all tenants to have to sign into an active portal. It does not say anything about this in my lease and I have talked with legal aid and they told me to sue. I have and am waiting on my court date. My problem is I am a student and I need access to the internet.

I have be researching this myself and I am in no means a computer expert but I am thinking that I will have to do some sort of http tunneling or use a proxy server somehow??? I may not be right this is just what I have found in limited research.

If it matters, the portal is pfSense active portal. Can anyone tell me how to bypass it??? Is there any software out there I can download that would aid my cause here?

Thanks for any help!!
