Hai,

I am new to Asp.Net programming. I am doing one webapplication in Asp.Net with Vb.Net 2005 and database as Mysql 5.0.

While login I am storing the userid as session. The userid is in double datatype.
When I click logout I just clear the session and redirect to home page.
It is happening perfectly.

But I am facing one problem in this. When I click "BACK" in the Internet Explore or Mozila firefox it redirecting to the previous page which should not be occured. How can I overcome this issue?

I had tried the following things,
Session.Abondon()
Session.Clear()

Thanks in Advance,

    First of all, you should use forms authentication.

    Look at the tutorials here:
    http://www.devhood.com/Tutorials/tutorial_details.aspx?tutorial_id=85
    http://www.15seconds.com/issue/020220.htm

    Second, for the "BACK" button in IE and FF, I think this is the right behavior. However, you cannot access any protected resources if you are using forms authentication.

    Hope this helps you to some extent...
