Please Gurus, I've trying to solve this problem moving from site to site to no avail until a friend recommended Programmersheaven,com for me.
Please my problem is I want a datagrid control that has checkboxes so that the user can check the selectected rows and display them in text boxes.
I tried something like this.
Private Sub cb_Click(Index As Integer)
Dim ctr As Integer
Dim DataLinkProperties As String
'ADODC control connection to SQL 2000 database
strUserID = GetSetting("Lands Koforidua", "Connection", "DataLinkProperties")
strPassword = GetSetting("Lands Koforidua", "Connection", "DataLinkProperties1")
strServerName = GetSetting("Lands Koforidua", "Connection", "DataLinkProperties2")
strDatabaseName = GetSetting("Lands Koforidua", "Connection", "DataLinkProperties3")
strProvider = "Provider = SQLOLEDB;"
DataLinkProperties = strProvider & strUserID & strPassword & strServerName & strDatabaseName
frmGrids.AdodcR.ConnectionString = DataLinkProperties
frmGrids.AdodcR.RecordSource = "select * from File_Movement where Movement_from='" & Trim(frmMovement.cmbCFrom.Text) & "' and Fdate='" & Trim(frmMovement.txtCDate.Text) & "' order by Fdate"
Set frmGrids.DataGrid1.DataSource = frmGrids.AdodcR
'After displaying the records in the Datagrid control,
'i want if the user checks any of the check boxes then that particular row should be selected and
'displayed in text boxes.
'But i can see the recordset object moving elsewhere and the loop also taking another course.
Please help nme out. Ben
