Access: Unrecognised format

Hi there

I've created an Access Database using Access 2000. However, when I connect the database in Visual Basic 6, it gives an error stating "Unrecognised database format".

I've created the exact same database with Access '97 and it works just fine. If I convert the Access '97 to Access 2000, I get the same error.

Does Visual Basic 6 have a problem connecting to Access 2000 databases? if so, is there a workaround?

Thanks in advance!

    if you are using ADO, change the connection string provider from
    Provider=Microsoft.Jet.OLEDB.3.5;
    to
    Provider=Microsoft.Jet.OLEDB.4.0;

    if using the Data control, it won't work. use the 'microsoft ado data control 6.0 (oledb)' component instead
