Changing font sizes in 1024x768 resolution

Hi,
Have large basic program with 120+ dialog boxes written initially to
display under 640x480 screen resolution. These look quite respectable
under 800x600 but suffer badly in size under 1024x768 which a lot of
users now set. I can expand the dialog boxes O.K but am stumped when
attempting to change font size for captions/menus/status bars, notice
and confirm boxes which I assume are locked in by the various screen
resolutions under the windows operating system or the basic programming
language. A message posted on the Liberty Basic Forum Board (the
program is written entirely in Liberty Basic), suggested this is
not possible.(Probably because requires extensive API knowledge if at
all possible).
Is what I wish to achieve possible?.
Thanks.
