Access 2007 Form Issue

LaurelLaurel Member Posts: 1
I have a db which at startup loads a screen allowing the user to select either of two buttons. One button brings up a data entry form, the other brings up a search form. We just switched today to Office 2007 (the db was created in Access 2002) and now the button to open the data entry form will not work?!? I get an error message stating that it's Runtime error 3011, that the object "1" can't be found and to check to be sure that the name and path are spelled correctly. When you click debug to view where the VB is puking, the offensive line is my DoCmd.OpenForm line to open the data entry form - a line which functioned perfectly fine until the switch to 2007. The actual line reads - DoCmd.OpenForm "Warranty_Info_Entry_Form", acViewNormal, acEdit

Here's the weird thing - the other button to open the search form works perfectly fine and all other forms that are launched after that (an info display form, and an edit info form) will open fine. Also, if I switch the form name in the bad line to the name of the search form, it will open fine, but no other form will work. It also just so happens that the search form is the first one in the list alphabetically - not that that should make a difference.

Has anyone else experienced anything like this with Access 2007??? I'm at my wits end!

Thanks!!!

Funnily I have encountered the same problem.
Some forms in my MSA 2003 application simply refuse to open, although I can view them in design mode. Switching to view mode simply returns with no error message.
This remains the case even when I have removed from these forms all controls & code.

Have you found any solution yet?
    Regards,

I was having the exact problem when I upgraded from 2002 to 2007. What I found after hours of searching is the problem seems to be in the command "acEdit" Example my line read DoCmd openReport "RPT NAME", acpreview, acedit This generated the runtime error. I removed the acEdit command and all is fine.
    Hope this helps
