How to close Excel object, if asp page is closed unexpectedly?
We faced some problem with our Internet application. Several dial_up users tried to open Excel using our on-line application and had difficulties to keep application running and closed it. At the same Excel.exe remained running on backgorund on server machine. That caused biggest problem - application stop running completely. When we checked server we found out about 10 Excel.exe running sielently on background. There is code to open/close Excel when asp page run normally like Set objSqlExcel = Nothing but it does not work if asp page closed/user tried to refresh page/switch to another page.
Question is, is there way to kill Excel object, if asp page is closed/refreshed. Something like we do on VB VB.NET on Form Unload event. This not .NET application!
