parallel port control

hi guys i wanna control parallel port using turbo C in Windows XP. but i cant. can anyone help me...i write codes but it does not work. is it any dll i should use

    You can't access ports directly in Windows 2000/XP. Use a modern Windows compiler and the Win32 API instead.

    Another solution, that I have found to work well, is using a dll for accessing ports. Here`s one of them:

    Still, you need a decent programming environment such as Dev-C++.

    Yeah there are work-arounds... but in most cases the Win API will do just fine for your purposes.

    They have a work-around for the parallel port as well.
