Hello, I've been a user of windows for quite some time. I've wanted to develop some useful scripts to perform routine tasks... Where do I start and what tools will I need? I have some training in C++ and am learning Java right now...

Any help would be appreciated.

Regards,
Manu

P.S. I am using Windows XP.

If its just quick repetitive tasks you can try autoit http://www.autoitscript.com/autoit3/
Its like vb and pretty much anybody can use it to build simple scripts.

Anything thing more complex would probably require an intro to win32 programming. Theres a great one here http://www.winprog.org/tutorial/
