PWS4 was an add-in for Win98 and WinNT4, IIS is a feature of Win2000 and WinXP pro - I do not know if it is available in XP home.

XP Home edition does not have IIS and to install IIS you have to resort to some hacking. The hacking requires that you have a Windows 2000 Professional cd anyways, so I would just save yourself the trouble and upgrade or find a freeware webserver you can install.

Here is a Freeware server, but might not treat the ASP script 100% like IIS.

If you choose to use ASP.NET, you can use a free IDE called Web Matrix:

    http://www.asp.net/webmatrix/Default.aspx?tabid=1

It has a built in Web Server, so you would not need IIS.

For ASP.NET 2.0, you could use another free IDE called Visual Web Express:

    http://msdn.microsoft.com/vstudio/express/vwd/

I believe it lets you run your website w/out the need for IIS.
