LEAD TOOLS PROGRAMMER
Location: Santa Monica, CA
Position Type: Full-time permanent employment
The ideal candidate would have experience working in large cutting-edge tool technology systems and the ability to design, plan and program complex tool components. The candidate must also exhibit excellent verbal and written communication skills, a high level of understanding towards game tool production and an adaptability to meet project needs utilizing common tools technology.
-->Taking ownership of large-scale game systems tool development, and coordinating directly with the members of the content teams on the improvement of tools systems.
-->Programming of core tool systems to required coding standards.
-->Working with Technology and Tool Programmers, Technical Directors and game project production staff.
-->Development of technical design specification, implementation and test plans.
-->Providing mentorship to less senior programmers
-->Contributing innovative and original ideas towards all aspects of game production and development.
-->Experience in the design and implementation of cutting edge tool systems.
-->Bachelors degree or higher in Computer Science or Mathematics.
-->5+ years experience in tools programming.
-->Demonstrated experience as a lead tools engineer or a senior tools engineer ready to assume lead responsibilities
-->Demonstrated knowledge of good software engineering practices.
-->Excellent analytical and communication skills.
