Sending mail goes to bulk folder

danyadlerdanyadler Posts: 7Member
Hi everyone,

I'm using the System.Web.Mail classes to email users.
The problem is that when I send to an Yahoo recipient, my email goes
straight into the bulk folder.
Is there a way to make sure that my email will go to the recipient's
inbox?

Danny

No, that way it would be easy for spammers to spam you...

So in what way would you recommend me to use, for this quite common task?
    I'm really puzzled here...
First I tried to send emails through the SMTP directly, using socket 25, and when sending a mail to Yahoo, I ran into a wall called: "authentication", and wasn't allowed to send it.
And now using a built-in class of .NET, I get only half way through.
I understand the spammers issue, but it's still absurd... ;-)
So how does everybody do it??

I think much depends on wich is your 'from' field, set this to a real address and it shuld work by my mind...
I know nothing about mail so I can't really help you.
