compilation error

p_vp_v Posts: 61Member
When we are trying to compile a C++ program on Solaris 2.10 with SUN CC 5.5, we are getting the following error:

"/usr/include/stdarg.h", line 43: Error: __builtin_va_list is not defined

Any ideas on how to solve this problem are most welcome

Thanks
PV

does your compiler know where the default include directory(s) is(are)? add to the command-line -I/usr/include and see if that helps.

maybe you need to include some other headers before stdarg.h?

Look in stdarg.h and see if __builtin_va_list is defined in it. If not, grep around other files to find it. If it is in stdarg.h, then check to see if you need to #define some macro(s) before including the file
