OpenGL output to images

Hi I am working wit OpenGL on Linux. I want to convert OpenGL output to Images. I dont want the snapshots but i want it to be image. Can anyone help me how i can achieve it.

OpenGL is capable of rendering to texture. Visit nehe.gamedev.net or consult OpenGL manual on specifics how to do it. Later you can save the texture into any image format you want (and are capable of implementing). Good luck.
