Senior Graphics Engineer

Formed in 2002 by industry veterans formerly of Electronic Arts, this studio is a fully-funded Bay area based developer, publisher, and operator of AAA online games for the PC and next-gen consoles. They are seeking highly skilled and highly motivated programmers and artists for a variety of roles.

They currently have two projects in development for the PC: One based on Original Content and the other is a MMORPG based on the high profile Sci-Fi live-action motion picture and television series

SENIOR GRAPHICS ENGINEER

Summary:
Senior Engineer to develop client-side graphical and pipeline features for a massively multi-player PC game.

Responsibilities:
Develop graphical features for a PC massively multiplayer game, including custom rendering techniques, character animations, and special effects.
Support and improve pipelines from art and design tools into the game.
Develop on the PC in C++. Game is developed using the Renderware SDK.
Participate in technical and creative design.

Qualifications (minimum):
BS in Computer Science or equivalent.
Must have extensive experience working in a senior graphics programming role on a commercial game development team.
Strong familiarity with PC development using C++.
Strong familiarity with Direct3D.
Ability to effectively communicate with and support various team members, including other engineers, artists, and designers.
Has developed and documented technical designs.
Has a love of gaming.

Bonus:
Experience developing vertex and/or pixel shaders for Direct 3D.
Experience using RenderWare libraries and tools.
Experience supporting Maya, including MEL scripting.
Experience developing MFC applications.
