ASP.NET (VB.NET) question related to Adobe

Wolf221Wolf221 Posts: 1Member
A company is modifying my software into ASP.NET for data security purposes, per their suggestion. In doing so I seem to have lost report generation cpabilities. At least ASP does not seem to generate reports as nice as Access. I no longer have headers and footers, the rogram is not intelligent enough to move between landscape vs portrait orientations, etc.

BIG QUESTION

Does ASP.NET have the capabilities to export reports to .pdf files? or MS Word files?

Yes, with third party components like ActivePDF. However, without some web development wizardry, you will not get the same drag and drop feel when using Access.

Finally, you can integrate Crytal Reports into an ASP.NET, which should allow you to save to those formats.
