Windows Installer

As I am new to .Net I am wondering what some opinions are on the Windows Installer included in VS .Net. In the past I've used InstallShield to create packages (and i would certainly love to move away from that if it's reasonable). I know that the past Windows Package/Deployment has been very limiting and buggy so I'm somewhat skeptical of anything similar to this. Please let me know what your experience has been. So far the VS .Net Win Installer seems nice but i've only scratched the surface.

Thanks in advance, George
