I trie d to compile the win32 gui program "hi world" with msvc++ 6 proffesional but it gave me

LINK : fatal error L1022: response line too long

i just secceeded to fix a problem with the file cl.exe - it didn't find it.
i added the dir where it was to the directory options for executables in the tools menu and the problem gor fixed but now i cant fix this one. im sure that the problem is not in the source code

    Dear friend i had the same problem with MSVC++6 but i could not find a solution.I searched every single forum in the net.What i did in the end i downloaded DEV C++ which works PEERFECTLY
    give it a go
