OK let me give a general run down of what I am doing since I am out of my element with TSL.
I am using a toolkit that uses TSL for encrypted data transfers. I am not using IE or any browser, it is clientserver model transfering over TCP/IP. The toolkit uses a .PEM file on the client and server side. Which includes a Certificate string and key string, part of there test files looks like...
issuer= /C=AU/ST=Queensland/O=CryptSoft Pty Ltd/CN=Test CA (1024 bit)
subject=/C=AU/ST=Queensland/O=CryptSoft Pty Ltd/CN=Client test cert (512 bit)
-----BEGIN RSA PRIVATE KEY-----
-----END RSA PRIVATE KEY-----
I downloaded a openssl toolkit (shining light procudtions) and produced a key, and made a cert from that. But I cannot figure out how to get a PEM file from it? The cert does not include a key in the file and therefore does not work. Can anyone give me a resource or advise that might clear up what the hell I am doing:)
