UNtil loop?

I think this might be a long shot but i remember in qbasic and i think vb there is an until loop. kind of like a while loop except it works until the fullfilment come about... i was wondering if anyone knows if C or C++ has an until loop.

end if[/code]
So... How long do you think you'll be waiting?

    I think you should read a good C/C++ tutorial to learn all the basics. There are lots around, just do some googling.

  • i've read through a couple of the tutorials its just i find the best way to learn is through trying to write wqith it. but thanks for the concern.

    You would be surprised on how much time you would save if you study the tutorials.

    Looking at some of your previous posts, you could have saved yourself a look of time if you knew how character arrays worked in C/C++

    Example:
    [code]
    // This was your first buffer overflow.
    a[4];
    a[0] = 'h';
    a[1] = 'e';
    a[2] = 'l';
    a[3] = 'l';
    a[4] = 'o';

    [blue]It would have been much easier if you did this:[/blue]
    char a[] = "hello";
    [blue]Your comipiler would have automatically created a character array like this:[/blue]
    a[6];
    a[0] = 'h';
    a[1] = 'e';
    a[2] = 'l';
    a[3] = 'l';
    a[4] = 'o';
    a[5] = '';
    [/code]

    Another example where you would have saved yourself time and made your code a lot easier to read:
    [code]
    [blue]Your first attempt at copying a string[/blue]
    finline[0] = ssnum[0];
    finline[1] = ssnum[1];
    finline[2] = ssnum[2];
    finline[3] = ssnum[3];
    finline[4] = ssnum[4];
    finline[5] = ssnum[5];
    finline[6] = ssnum[6];
    finline[7] = ssnum[7];
    finline[8] = ssnum[8];

    [blue]A simpler method and less time consuming way is like this:[/blue]

    strcpy(finline, ssnum);
    or
    strncpy(finline, ssnum, 9);
    [/code]
