Hi all,

How many triggers we can have for table ?

Can we able to disable triggers for a period of time ?

    hi,
    u can create as many triggers as u need (i saw tables with 8 or 9 triggers), i don't know any max limit of triggers on the table. but remember that every next tirgger make slowly database operations on this table. u can disable trigger:
    alter trigger disable;
    and enable it:
    alter trigger enable;

    but somebodies telling me that you can have maximum 18.

    You'd have to be insane, IMO, to have even half that. Even Oracle recommends you minimize your trigger usage. There's no guarantee in which order triggers will fire, they are limited in what they can do, and you run the risk of recursive triggering if a trigger does something to another table which has a trigger that does something to the first table.
