Invoking Java Code From Perl Script

im writing a perl script and within that i need to invoke a java application.

    You need to define "invoke". Do you want to start it and continue execution of your program at the same time? Do you want to start it and then wait for it to finish? Or do you want to start it and wait for it to finish, capturing its output?

    To just run it, you can do something like:-

    system('java yourprog.class');

    To capture the output, you can do:-

    my $output = `java yourprog.class`;

    If you need to embed JAVA code into your Perl, you might want to look at the Inline::JAVA module.
