how to make the extensions in addresses like www.stuff.com/?id=999 and so on? how do they pass the arguments? and also like www.stuff.com/articles/63748. how? im quite new to php...
my addresses always wind up like www.stuff.com/default.php?id=articles&article=243.

    just rename default.php to [b]index.php[/b],now you can use:
    .com/?id=articles&article=243

    why exacly index.php? default.php doesnt work?
    and how to pass the argument &article=245 without the users seeing it?

    Index.php/.html/.htm/...etc is the default file name for a directory. So, if you have www.yoursite.com/directory/index.html, it's just like www.yoursite.com/directory

    Just wondering, but can you use .com?id=articles... or do you need the slash?
