Can someone show me a way to just set the color of a pixel in direct3d... in direct draw days it was pretty easy to grab the video memory and just change the color of any individual pixel, but how is it done in direct3D... can someone post an example?

    Hey,

    You can set color using D3DCOLOR_ARGB, D3DCOLOR_RGBA or D3DCOLOR_COLORVALUE or D3DCOLOR_XRGB.

    For eg:
D3DCOLOR_ARGB(255, 255, 255, 255);
    D3DCOLOR_RGBA(255, 255, 255, 255);
    D3DCOLOR_XRGB(255, 255, 255);
    D3DCOLOR_COLORVALUE(1.0f, 1.0f, 1.0f, 1.0f);
Can you show me the context that you would use your examples? I'm familiar with the dx color structures, but how do you grab the pixel you want to set? (In dx7 you would grab the surface and then set the pbits) Can you give an example in how to set a pixel in dx8 and above?

    Thanks,
