Delphi's Timer Component

When set to 1000 the timer should do something every second. But when I used two labels (one for seconds and one for minutes) and compared them to my system clock they got behind not much but a few seconds.

Isn't the timer exact?

The TTimer is not as accurate as the system-clock, since the TTimer responses to a windows message. If you want to have a clock on your form, you can better fill the labels using the Now() function in conjuction with the TTimer.
