system_web directory

Hi,

On my home PC, my wwwroot/aspnet_client/system_web folder has 1_1_4322 in there. On web hosting company's server, it is 1_1_4322_0. Basically, any of the validation I am doing that uses this code doesn't work on their setup because the dll uses my setup. I was able to get around this on the web server by just making a copy of the directory and naming it 1_1_4322.

My question is, why would they have a different verison? And, is there anyway for me to develop things at home that would port to the server without me having to create that directory? It doesn't seem safe to be pointing it there and who knows when they will uprade and change locations yet again.

Thanks in advance.

    :

Open Machine.config on all pertaining computers and modify this tag ...

to something like ...

Add a Scripts folder to your web application and add this script file ...

    WebUIValidation.js

This will remove version ambiguity. It may be possible to set this tag in the web.config as to override the servers behavior. If so I would go this route.
