Anybody know how to access video memory in C++

Recently I have been trying to write some games using the Win32 project in C++.net. Unfortunately, the graphics I made run very slow if I use the setpixel() command. I really do not want to use OpenGL or Direct3D because it does everything for you. I was wondering if anybody knew how to directly access the video memory on the graphic card. If anybody knows, could you reply or send me an E-Mail. Thanks.

  • Well I know that pointers give one control over the main memory but I'm not sure about video.
