Starting a Program With Windows

hey guys...
i wanted to know which language would be best if i wanted to create a proagram to load a program or script with windows and place some sort of a icon in the task bar. for example NAV does and start its services automataically ... i need to develop something like that.. any ideas any one?

    I would use C++ and the MFC classes or use C++ and pure Win32. That is just my opinion.

    yea thats what i was thinking of as well.. do u know where i can sample codes of such or how do i go about this?

    You can use ShellExecute() in windows.h or system("start ...") in stdlib.h
