Testing CGI

I know that this is probably the most frequently asked question here, but (a) is there any free server software out there so I can test my CGI at home. (b) Can I set myself up as a server just to test my CGI without having any of the networking/internet/etc hardware to do so? (c) Will the server setup work in Win95? Sorry for this totally uneducated question, but I would like to learn to program CGI without being paying for a cgi bin just to test my stuff in the meantime. Any help would be MUCH appreciated.

  • Ok... now I've fielded two of the HTML related questions here in trade.

If your using Windows you have PWS(personal web server) built in. All you need then is to download Activeperl(windows version of perl). Also the Apache web server is free to download.
