# circle in er-diagram?

i wonder if its bad to have a circle in your er-diagram?
i mean really bad, not just a little un-necessary.

Not sure what you mean by a circle in your ER diagram. I'm guessing you mean circular references between tables, so if you were to join them all you'd get back to where you started. Don't know it's a good thing, but I've ended up with it before and it didn't lead to any major problems.

yes thats wat i meant. like u dont really need some of the references cause u could go through all tables to get the value u want anyway ,but u make a reference just to make smaller queries..
I cant think out if its wrong either, but it just looks so strange..
