    Hi
    Read the man pages of the commands below

    * ifconfig (to configure your ethernet card)
    * route (to create a routing table for kernel)
    * netconfig (a shell script comes with Slackware and a program comes with SCO UNIX)

    Also, you have to configure the files below

    * /etc/hosts
    * /etc/services (port numbers and protocols for services)
    * /etc/network (not necessary)
    * /etc/inetd.conf (for giving specific services, like mail)
