calling scripts from c code task

I'm very new to this. Can I call a script (ie script.bat) from within a task done in C? If so, I'm not sure on the proper way to do so.

    Hi,

    I like further more details

    Through 'C' program from Windows, I can call a script in UNIX AIX (Telnet) which will perform some task
