Windows Services

I have made a windows service in C# that backs up my database at 11 o'clock every night. Everything works fine until I try to get it to write to a network drive. The user I am logging in with has access to the network drive. I wrote a function to get all the logical drives in the service and write it to a file. It only shows my local drives. Does anyone know why this service cannot see the network shares? I have tried using the FileIOPermission class but that does not work either. Thank you for your time.
