Hi, I just started learning Java. I have been trying to find a good tutorial with good examples on the internet. I did not find a satisfactory one. Anybody knows a good web tutorial to learn java, please reply me ASAP ! Thanks, Lala

    I would suggest, if possible, that you purchase a good book. 'Ivor Horton's Beginning Java 2 SDK 1.4 Edition' is a good book. There are loads of others too.

    There are quite a few tutorials on the net. Have a look at Programmers Heaven's links here, http://www.programmersheaven.com/zone13/mh33.htm

    sun's website has a tutorial, i cant remember the URL but goto google type in java tutorials and it should be one of the first links. also you can do a search on bruce eckle thinking in java, its a book he wrote and you can read it online. its good to start out with but around half way through the author gets lazy and only explains about half the stuff he writes, even when most of the code is "new to the reader"

    It's not a web tutorial, but SAM's Learn Java in 21 days for JDK 1.4 is working for me. The author, who I forgot, writes well. Lots of examples.
