edit statup programs

hi all
i use redhat linux 9 and gnome . i want to with witch program i can edit startup
programs ? or if there isnt a program for it , witch file i must edit ?

    If your startup program/s is/are meant for specific user, then you can set it under /home/user1/.bashrc where starup program for system use /etc/rc.d/rc.local

    Try somewhere in the "control panel" in gnome... there should be something called "Startup"

    If you need to set the PATH and other environment variables, goto /etc/profile.
