How I can access files under Linux?

    For c/c++, type 'man fopen' and follow the 'See alos' for more info.

    For shells, just use 'cat filename'.


    If you want to do more explicit stuff, the most important things are to learn 'pipes' and '>'.

    Ex:

    'cat file | more' sends all data from a file to the program more.

    'cat > file' Writes all you type to the file until you press ctrl-C.

    'prog > file' Sends all output from prog to a file.

    'prog >> file' Appends all output to a file.

    'prog 1> file' Sends only STDIN

    'prog 2> file' Only STDERR.

    'prog << EOF > file

    help

    info

    EOF' Runs prog, sends output to file, and sends all commands until EOF to the prog.
