Hi board

Ok I have a question... when i download some flash files, there are sometimes a .fla file and a .swf file..... how do I put these together...so that the flash will work... i would appreciate any guidance on the best way to do this.... thanks

Also, what is the best program to use for customising flash... there are some very cool interfaces out there on the net, but once downloaded im at a loss as how to use them.

Actually you don't put them together.

The .swf file has been "published" and is ready to be shown to the public (ie:embedded into a web page)

The .fla file would be what you open in your flash editor to work on the project. It contains much more information such as all the separate layers, symbols, timelines, tweens, etc.

I hope that helps, as for advice on programs to use I also have not worked with very many... so hopefully some replies with some info

Use Macromedia Flash 5 to open *.fla files. *.swf files are only for output of your programm or animations.

    Thank you
